This 3-mile circular walk takes us out from the heart of Marsden and into the rugged landscape of the Marsden Moors. Along the way, we'll pass reminders of the area’s industrial past, head out across wild moorland and discover abandoned dwellings that hint at the people and communities who once called this landscape home.

It’s a walk full of contrasts β€” from the familiar streets of the Colne Valley to open, windswept moorland β€” with plenty to see, plenty to talk about and a chance to enjoy one of the most striking landscapes on our doorstep.

As ever, a gentle reminder that walking in our beautiful patch can mean hills, uneven ground, stiles, livestock, exposed sections and the odd muddy or slippery bit, so please make sure you're happy with the terrain and your own fitness before joining us.

Man Alive on Target!

Did you know that English longbowmen fired up to 12 arrows a minute at the Battle of Agincourt, with an estimated total of up to a million arrows dropping on the French forces!

Man Alive archers took it a little more steadily on Tuesday, as they got to grips with a modern recurve bow in a two-hour taster session with the Valley Bowmen of Huddersfield.

The organisation & facilities at the club are fantastic and we had a great evening with knowledgable & friendly instructors. Many thanks to Les and his team.

Congratulations to Allan Siddall for winning the Shrinking Target Competition. Great bowmanship!
