Our story
Meltham has a wonderful community spirit, with a number of diverse and well supported events taking place each year, including the scarecrow festival, an award nominated beer festival and the infamous memories weekend.
Ruddi’s Retreat is a fantastic local charity that supports seriously ill children by granting them access to a holiday break in one of their holiday homes for free. They help families with young children suffering from the effects and after effects of cancer treatment, life limited illnesses and bereavement to enjoy a family holiday together.
A small group of residents from Meltham and surrounding communities have come together to give something back to Ruddi’s Retreat, raise some valuable funds to support this charity and help them to keep helping others whilst bringing the community together for a family funday.
