Remembering Our Patron, Anthony Head
We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our patron, Anthony Head, just six months after the loss of his wife and fellow patron, Sarah Fisher.
Anthony was widely known and loved for his distinguished acting career, but to us he was also a passionate supporter of animal welfare and wildlife rehabilitation. Alongside Sarah, he shared a deep love of animals and a commitment to improving their lives.
As a patron of Secret World, Anthony was a valued advocate for our work and a great supporter of the charity. Our founder, Pauline, fondly remembers the many occasions he helped us over the years, including attending our fundraising events and even taking part as our very own Phantom of the Opera at one of our themed charity balls. Despite his fame, he was always warm, approachable and a pleasure to work with.
Pauline also remembers welcoming Anthony, Sarah, Emily and Daisy to Secret World in the charity’s early days, where they spent time meeting some of our rescued wildlife, including badger cubs and otters.
We are incredibly proud to have had Anthony as a patron and are deeply grateful for his kindness, generosity and unwavering support. He will be remembered not only for the remarkable legacy he leaves in the acting world, but also for the compassion he showed to animals, both domestic and wild.
Our thoughts are with his daughters Emily and Daisy, and all his family and friends at this difficult time.
Anthony's kindness and commitment to animal welfare will continue to inspire our work for years to come.
