Dave Wainman presents G*T with a £1000 cheque to continue the works on Widmer Fields. It’s was Dave’s tireless campaigning from early 70s through public enquiry and to the high court that secured the fields for our community. We all owe him a big thanks👏👏👏👍

3rd Hazlemere Brownies planted two 🍎trees (aka Bob and Jeffery) in the orchard area and seeded some wild flowers🌼🪻🌺 on the fields last night. Big thanks to the🦉🦉 for arranging and support of the Grange Area Trust volunteers 👏👏👏

Had a visit from the tree 🪓 surgeon to make safe dead🪾 Ash tree as over the 🐾footpath & 🐑🐑 field. Was too big a job for the Grange Area Trust volunteers to handle.

Sadly🙁 a lovely multi stemmed hawthorn in full🌸🌸 blew down in the high winds on the rec. Widmer End Village Hall asked if G*T volunteers could make safe and tidy it up. Big Thanks to Dave, Sally, Nick, Brian & Colin for a hard mornings works. 👏👏👏

Bridge building for the fields entrance at Cedar Park School. Won’t need 🤿 anymore, but still very muddy. Thanks to volunteers Carl, Oliver, Dave & Bryan.

Winter 💨 winds have brought a number of branches 🪾down on the fields. It gives our volunteers some lumberjack 🪓 practice. With the cuttings we built a 🪵 log pile to act as a wildlife habitat for the small critters 🕷️🐞🐝🪳👍
