Today- HANDS hub are one of 200 Raising Readers Book Nooks being set up around the Country.

Created out of a desire to reverse the decline in children’s reading for pleasure, on 9th July Raising Readers Day, over 1,600 Hachette employees will step away from their desks to lead a global day of Raising Readers social impact and fundraising projects. This massive volunteer effort consolidates Hachette’s multi-million-copy campaign and serves as a flagship event in the publisher’s bicentennial celebrations, marking 200 years since its founding in 1826.

Timed to support the UK's National Year of Reading, Raising Readers Day brings together publishers, charities and communities behind a shared goal: encouraging more children to discover the joy of reading for pleasure and helping families make reading together part of everyday life.

COSI in the Community is collaborating with Tots Time at HANDS Hub !

Tots Time runs at the Hub on Bath Street every Tuesday morning from 10am - 12noon.

Starting in the new year, you will find our specialist communication teacher and an Early Years Area SENCO at Tots Time once a month on the following Tuesdays:

Herefordshire Parents Support Session for Early Years children with an EHCP

Are you a parent or carer of an early years child (0–5) with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)?

We warmly invite you to attend a friendly and informal support session designed to help you feel more confident in understanding your child’s EHCP.

📅 Tuesday 9 June, 10am - 12noon

This session is a great opportunity to:

✅ Speak with professionals who can help explain the EHCP process
✅ Ask questions in a relaxed, supportive environment
✅ Gain guidance tailored to your child’s needs
✅ Connect with other parents and carers

💬 There is no formal agenda—just a welcoming space to talk, listen and feel supported.

Who is this for?
🧑🏻‍🍼 Parents and carers of children in the early years (0–5) with an EHCP in Herefordshire. Children are welcome, but you are equally welcome to attend on your own.
