But we will certainly not forget all the happiness you managed to bring on your visits even if your allergies meant you had to retire early.

You know how they say never to work with animals or children?
Well what do you do when a 200kg toddler refuses to leave a visit on the first floor?! 🥴🤦🏼‍♀️
Yes, last week, this little madam was having such fun entertaining residents, staff and a painter/decorator that she flat out refused to leave.
Biscuits were offered, polos and greenery from the garden but Lulu simply said no. She planted her feet and proceeded to happily stand and observe.
With the help of our wonderful vets she was given an extremely mild sedation and yes less than a minute later trundled back outside.
They all can’t wait to see her again 🤣
I think this “rescue” will be remembered for a while…
To be fair, when you’ve carried out over 100 visits with no issues, something had to happen at some point right?😆

Introducing the wonderful Lulu 🦄

Lulu has a very important job as a therapy pony, visiting various care homes around Herefordshire and spreading her unicorn magic. 🪄

Unfortunately last week she needed some help from our vet Dom to get her out of a sticky situation. Sedation 💉 was administered and Lulu was helped back outside to terra firma with minimal fuss. 🏡

Lulu’s owner is very pleased to report that she is none the worse for her experience and is continuing to spread her Lulu charm. 🌟

Lulu and I enjoyed a visit to Credenhill Court to see some familiar faces and make some new friends earlier in the week.
Such a lovely atmosphere as always and a 5* team looking after happy residents.

Rainy Thursday

In between the drizzle, Ruby found a stick.
This was the best big stick ever found, dislodged from the cherry tree by the aforementioned drizzle and wind. 🌧️☔️💨
The stick was proudly paraded.
Her sadness at the yucky weather was fast forgotten. Happiness and tail wagging ensued.

If it makes you sad, don’t watch the news.
Spend time in the garden or in a park, in nature.
Remember to be kind, always.
