Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Society

Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Society Hereford G&S Society is an award-winning UK society performing the famous G&S operettas for over 75 years! S. We'd love to meet you!

Welcome to the page of Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society. At least once a year we perform a show, usually one of the famous operettas by W. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan, at our local theatre, The Courtyard in Hereford. We also perform in concerts around the county, singing a variety of songs from the traditional G&S tunes to the more modern melodies from musicals that are

currently at the West End, including favourites such as Wicked and Les Miserables. As a fun, friendly society, we are always looking for new members to join us to take part in performing in shows, singing in concerts, or helping out back-stage and beyond! If you are interested in coming along to Hereford G&S Society, drop us a line at [email protected]. We meet every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. Rehearsals are held at Hereford Cathedral School Music School, 31 Castle Street, Hereford. We are also keen to attract new patrons and sponsors to help us continue to bring Gilbert and Sullivan to Herefordshire and the Marches. If you are interested in supporting Hereford G&S Society please see Friends and Sponsors for more details.

Rehearsals are about to start, and we’d love you to be a part of it!

This summer and autumn, the society is diving into a nautical, watery-themed concert. Think sea breezes, big choruses and a lot of fun.

Rehearsals start on Tuesday, 28th April, at HCS Music School, Castle Street, Hereford.

Whether you’ve sung with us before or been curious for a while - this is a great time to join. We’re a friendly crew and we’d love to welcome some new faces aboard!

See you Tuesday 🐠🐬⚓️🐙🦑🪸🚢
