Home-Start Hertfordshire An empowering family support charity, built on trusted relationships and rooted in the community.

Home-Start Hertfordshire is a family charity helping families with young children who are going through a difficult time in their lives. This could be due to disability, mental health, illness, poverty, isolation and multiple births, among others. We have hundreds of dedicated volunteers who provide friendly support and practical help to families on a weekly basis. As we are a charitable organisation, we rely heavily on fundraising but also receive a number of grants.

🏆️⚽️WORLD CUP fever has struck Hertford Family Group⚽️🏆️

To celebrate the start of the World Cup 2026 our Hertford family group members took part in some football related activities this week.

The children worked on their fine motor skills and pen control by designing football kits. They also learnt about flags from different countries around the world 🌏️and took part in mindfulness activities.

🥅 The adults got involved with our "Gratitude Goal", taking it in turns to think about something they are grateful for, which sparked plenty of discussions!

The session ended with some excellent football skills - who knows, maybe these little ones are the footballers of the next generation! ⚽️🏆️

To celebrate the start of the World Cup 2026 our Hertford family group members took part in some football related activities this week.
