We’ve crunched the numbers, and here is our impact report for October 2026 ❤

Last month, we helped 46 families in our community and 59 children have been supported, including four sets of twins!

This month has been all about warm, winter clothing bundles. If you're having a clear out, please consider donating - our boxes are looking a bit sad and empty.

Every single referral is different, and every story matters…

🌈 A family awaiting the arrival of their little one with nothing prepared
🌈 A child needing clothes after outgrowing everything they have
🌈 A family needing nappies or infant formula just to get through until payday
🌈 A baby ready to move into a cot
🌈 An infant ready to start their weaning journey

Whatever the reason, we are here — and if we are able to help, we absolutely will.

Thanks to your donations, we have saved these families £12,948 if they were to purchase these items new, and that's buying the cheapest available.

Hello November (it's a day late). The "brrrr" months are definitely here! It's the final month of autumn before the crisp months of winter. But what's happening this month?

3rd - World Sandwich Day! It's got to be Ham and Cheese with a bit of mayo
5th - Bonfire Night
7th - National Hug a Bear day - not a real one, your favourite teddy counts
8th - Remembrance Sunday
11th - Remembrance Day
13th - World Kindness Day
16th - Odd Socks Day - marks the beginning of Anti-Bullying week
19th - Use Less Stuff day
20th - World Children's Day
27th - Black Friday
30th - St Andrew's Day

🎄❤️ PRE-CHRISTMAS CLEAR OUT – DONATIONS NEEDED! ❤️🎄

As we head towards Christmas, we're getting ready to help support more local families and little ones who may need a helping hand.

We're currently looking for donations of the following items:

🧺 Moses baskets with stands
🚼 Lightweight strollers
👶 Double prams suitable from birth
🧥 Warm winter clothing & coats for children from newborn up to 18–24 months.

If you have any of these items sitting unused at home and would be happy to donate them, we'd be incredibly grateful.

Your unwanted items could make a huge difference to another family, especially during the colder months and in the run-up to Christmas. ❤️

Donations can be dropped off Tuesday to Saturday 10-2pm. Or if you live in Kirklees, we can collect. Please send us a message to arrange.

RIP Sir Patrick Stewart. ❤️

A true legend and such a special connection to our hometown of Mirfield, where we were born and raised.

Not only was he born in Mirfield, but he even performed in local pantomime alongside our Mum at Mirfield Parish Church. How lovely to have that little personal connection to someone who went on to become such an internationally recognised star.

A remarkable talent, a local lad who never forgot his roots, made it onto the world stage, and someone who will be fondly remembered.

You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Sir Patrick. ❤️

💚🌈 THE MORRISONS GREEN GRAB BAGS ARE BACK… AND WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER! 🌈💚

We’re absolutely delighted to see the return of the Morrisons Green Grab Bags!

Whilst the old token scheme was a great idea in theory, we know that many of our amazing supporters simply prefer to pick up a bag, see exactly what’s inside and know that their donation is going directly towards making a real difference to local families.

There’s something so reassuring about knowing exactly what you’re donating and how those essentials will help a family who really needs them. 🥹

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated a bag. Every single one makes a difference, helping us keep our shelves stocked and ensuring we can continue supporting families facing crisis across our community. 💚

We also want to say a very special thank you to Ricky, the Morrisons Heckmondwike Community Champion, for encouraging the return of the grab bags and for continuing to keep us topped up with those much-needed essentials. Your support means so much to us! 👏

These little bags of kindness help us provide the nappies, toiletries and essential baby items that families desperately need, often at the most difficult times in their lives.

🙏🏻 Could you help us support a family in crisis? 🙏🏻

We’re so sorry that we’ve been asking for so much lately, but we’ve been incredibly busy supporting families in need, and we’re now running desperately low on so many essential items.

Today, we’re asking if anyone has a stroller they no longer need or use that they would consider donating to Rainbow Baby Bank. We only have one left!🌈

For a family facing crisis, having a safe stroller for their little one can make such a huge difference, providing independence, practical support and one less thing to worry about during an incredibly difficult time.

All we ask is that the stroller:
✨ Is clean and ready to use
✨ Has fully working brakes
✨ Has a fully functional 5-point harness

📍 Donations can be dropped off Tuesday to Saturday, between 10am and 2pm.

🚗 If you live in Kirklees, we may be able to arrange collection, so please just send us a message and we’ll make all the arrangements.

We know times are tough for so many people, and we never take your kindness or generosity for granted. Every single donation helps us support another family when they need it most. ❤

🧥🍂 WINTER IS COMING… AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🧥🍂

The weather is getting much colder and we cannot keep up with demand for families needing warmer clothes for their little ones. We have no coats or pram suits left for newborn / 0-3m babies. We are running very low on all other sizes.

If you're having a clear-out of your children's wardrobes, please consider donating them to the baby bank. 🌈❤️ Note: We are currently only accepting warm, winter clothing. We kindly ask that you hang on to your summer clothes until next year.

We are in desperate need of moses baskets and stands. We have none left and families waiting. As soon as they come in, they go straight out again to a family needing a safe sleeping space for their baby.

If you have a Moses basket that you no longer need or use, please consider donating it to the baby bank. (we don't need the mattress as we provide a brand new one with every referral). Your donation could make a real difference to a family struggling to provide the basics for their little one.
