What a night! 🍄✨

Thank you to everyone who attended Trick or Trees: Lord of the Fly Agaric on Friday. From the sneaky Brussels sprouts masquerading as mushrooms to the quiz challenges, fire pit s'mores, and the jump-filled Big Scare experience for our older guests, there was something for everyone!

A special thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers whose hard work made the magic happen. We hope you had as much fun as we did! 🌳🥰🌳

The results are in... Who do you think won this year’s competition?

It turns out that the winner is – The Bendy Tree!

Bending its way to victory, the native wych elm is a lone survivor on the central promenade in Newcastle, County Down, Northern Ireland.
This year’s competition, supported by Lottery UK players, celebrated trees that have survived , which The Bendy Tree certainly has 💪
No stranger to the hardships of life, this remarkable tree has resisted Dutch elm disease and continues to cling on in a harsh and evolving landscape ⛈️
Bending over backwards to survive, it has captured the hearts of locals. A well-deserved win for an incredible tree 💚

🍁 Autumn is Arriving at the Young People's Forest 🍁

The forest is beginning to transform with changing colours, cooler mornings, and plenty of wildlife activity.

It's a fantastic time for young people to get outdoors, learn new skills, and experience nature as the seasons change.

Whether we're maintaining woodland areas, identifying wildlife, or simply enjoying the peace of the forest, every session brings new discoveries.
