New season, new routine? Find your space at The West Park Centre!

As autumn approaches and summer routines wrap up, September is often the time local clubs, meetings and community groups get back into full swing.

Did you know The West Park Centre is home to a range of versatile room spaces available for hire? Throughout the month, our building hosts everything from local choir rehearsals and creative workshops to business meetings and community drop-ins. To make hosting your gathering as straightforward as possible, we are pleased to offer tailored packages for groups.

If you run a local group looking for a central, welcoming venue — or if you simply want to drop into our Visitor Information Centre to see what local activities are starting up this autumn — pop by and speak to our team.

As a non-profit organisation, every room hire directly supports the upkeep of our building and community hub.

Our wonderful The Harrogate Story volunteers are on duty Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 10.30am to 3pm, ready to give you a friendly welcome.

Pop in to explore the free exhibition, browse the visitor information section, or simply relax with a cuppa and a delicious piece of cake in our coffee shop.

📖 The Harrogate Story — Take a wander through our heritage exhibition to discover our town’s fascinating history, from our famous spa heritage to notable historic visitors.

ℹ️ Visitor Information Centre — Pick up local maps, event guides, and friendly insider tips from our volunteer team to help plan the rest of their trip.

🫖 Café — Sit back and catch up over a fresh hot drink and a slice of delicious cake.

Have you spotted our new tent cards around town yet? 🏨✨

If you are staying or socialising in Harrogate over the coming weeks, keep an eye out in local hotel receptions and hospitality venues — we have started placing little reminders of what we offer here at The West Park Centre!

A huge thank you to our lovely neighbours at Hotel Du Vin Harrogate for giving our tent card such a prime spot right in their entrance. We love being part of such a supportive local business community.

Come and discover the fascinating spa heritage of Harrogate at the Harrogate Story!

Explore how Harrogate became one of Britain's most famous spa towns through engaging displays and film footage.

While you're there, be sure to look at the new Visitor Information Centre in the Centre. It's the perfect place to pick up local tips, discover what's on, and make the most of your visit.

Explore and discover at The West Park Centre!

Behind the doors of the iconic West Park URC is a spacious treasure trove of local heritage, welcoming locals and visitors alike. Our newly updated exhibition includes information on our cultural and floral heritage, as well as the history of the famous Bettys and Taylors and our incredible Royal Hall.

Alongside this, you’ll find a friendly café area and trusted local guidance at our visitor information desk. Providing these accessible hub services is at the heart of our mission to support a "Vibrant and Sustainable High Street". Because we are a non-profit space, we rely completely on the dedication of our volunteers and kind public donations to stay open and keep this important historic building thriving.
