Who’s parkrunning with us tomorrow? 🎃🧛

Halloween parkrunday is a rare treat! Since parkrun began in 2004, 31 October has fallen on a Saturday three times before this year in the UK: 2009, 2015 and 2020. Although UK events were paused in 2020, parkrunners in some other parts of the world were still able to enjoy their Saturday morning fix.

The first Halloween parkrun took place on Wednesday 31 October 2007 at Rolf Valley Time Trial in Zimbabwe. As the first parkrun outside the UK, it held events on Wednesdays. Political turmoil later led to its closure, but it remains a special part of parkrun history 🇿🇼

Whether you’re dressing up as a pumpkin, wearing ghostly socks or volunteering with a broomstick, we hope you have a howling good time 🧙👻
