There are roles like course set up that allow you to run/walk so you can get a volunteer and run credit! 👏

JOIN OUR SET-UP CREW!

Every week we need up to 40 volunteers to put on parkrun 🙋‍♀️. All are welcome to help and we will try to match volunteers to the roles they want.

10 weeks in and with our course mainly on grass 🌳 we've learned that its especially helpful if those on SET UP are familar with the course 🖼️ - and with SET UP being a role which allows for running 🏃or walking🚶‍♀️as well, it's a perfect way for our regular participants to give back once in a while and be part of the Volunteer team.🦺🥳🙌

So if you'd be running with us anyway and can occasionally get to the park a bit earlier to help set up for everyone, do let us know at [email protected].

This weekend, the millionth parkrun will take place somewhere across the globe. It might even be us at Rothamsted Park!

It, like several of our roles, needs a VOLUNTEER for Saturday! 🙋‍♀️

We need:
- 2 or 3 more on set up - you can run too!! 🏁
- x1 event course check - knowledge of course needed but you can also then run!! 👀
- x1 timekeeper ⏱️
- x1 number checker 📋
- x1 finish tokens🎟️
- 4-6 more marshals 👏
- x3 close down 🛍️
- x2-3 token sorting 🪣

Today being the end of ⭐National Volunteer Week⭐ seems as good an excuse as any to signpost how the good folk of Harpenden and the area can join our AMAZING team of 🦺 "high viz hero" volunteers 🦺at Rothamsted Park parkrun.

Every week we need up to 40 volunteers to put on the event - roles vary from marshalling 👏, to timekeeper ⏱️, to scanners📱, and there are lots of roles that allow you to run or walk the event too, such as tailwalking🚶‍♀️, or set up 🚩.

It's super easy to get involved and no experience is needed. And you genuinely will have a warm fuzzy feeling all day having helped put on parkrun 🥰.
