☀️ Step Forward EBSNA Support Group – Open Tomorrow ☀️

Despite the forecast for extreme heat, our Step Forward EBSNA Support Group will be running as usual tomorrow at The Pioneer Club St Albans.

The good news is that the venue is normally very cool, and we have fans available to help keep everyone comfortable.

Please make sure you and your children stay hydrated, wear suitable clothing, and bring water bottles with you.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and providing a safe, welcoming space to connect and support one another.

Stay cool and take care! 💙

We were delighted to deliver our free Transition to Secondary School workshops for parents, very kindly funded by The Pioneer Club St Albans

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, with parents fully engaged, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing their experiences. We hope everyone left feeling more informed and confident about supporting their child through this important transition.

A huge thank you to the Pioneer Club for making these workshops possible and to all the parents who attended and contributed to such positive sessions.

‘Education for all’ – but what will it really mean for families?

Major SEND reforms have officially been confirmed today in the King’s Speech, with the government announcing a new Education for All Bill aimed at overhauling support for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

King Charles told Parliament that 'every child deserves the chance to succeed' and said ministers would introduce 'generational reforms' to the SEND system – including plans to improve early support, boost inclusion in schools and make help more accessible closer to home.

The Bill confirms that the government will legislate to deliver 'lasting change' for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities – but not before it has heard from the families the reforms are designed to serve.

Parents have just five days left to have their say on the government's SEND white paper consultation, which closes on Monday, 18 May.

Have you had your say?
