π¨ Self Assessment Reminder β Payment on Account Due by 31 July π¨
If you're self-employed or complete a Self Assessment tax return, don't forget that your second Payment on Account is due by 31 July.
π· What is a Payment on Account?
Payments on Account are advance payments towards your next Self Assessment tax bill. They are usually paid in two instalments:

31 July
Each payment is normally 50% of your previous year's tax bill (excluding Capital Gains Tax and Student Loan repayments).
βDo I need to make a Payment on Account?
You may not need to make these payments if:
βοΈ Your last Self Assessment tax bill was less than Β£1,000, or
βοΈ 80% or more of your tax was already collected through PAYE or another source.
Missing the deadline can result in interest being charged, so it's worth checking now if a payment is due.
