We had a lovely evening yesterday with Pam Alexander demonstrating for us. She entertained us with stories of moments in her life which linked to the colours of her arrangements. They were all different, beautiful colours and lovely flowers. Pam also told us about the greenery she was using, lots of tips there. A really nice evening, and I won one of her lovely arrangements, so lucky. Thank you Pam.

Hello ladies, just a reminder of this month's Guisborough Flower Club meeting. As normal it will be held at St Nicholas' Church Hall, Bow Street, Guisborough on Wednesday 14th October fom 7.30 till 9.30 with doors opening around 6.30pm.
Our demonstrator this month is Pam Alexander and her title is
"A Few of my Favourite Things".
We always have a raffle where all her arrangements can be won, a sales table etc., ending the evening with a cuppa. Visitors always welcome. Hope to see you there.

At Guisborough Flower club this week we had a really interesting evening. We began with our AGM where we got lots of feedback from the ladies present. Then we had Jayne Chapman who gave us a fabulous demonstration and talk on 'Willow Weaving'. It was fascinating, Jayne was so knowledgeable, she told us how it's grown, harvested and prepared, and about the different types and colours. We were all intrigued. She also explained the history behind some of the baskets she had brought for us to look at. Her demonstration was great too, making us all feel we wanted to have a try. Workshop a must for the future diary I think. Thank you Jayne for such an interesting night.

Hello ladies and welcome to the start of our new Flower Club year. Our first meeting will be held as usual in St Nicholas' Church Hall, Bow Street, Guisborough on Wednesday 9th September, doors open at 7pm. The meeting will start with a short AGM giving all our interesting club information. We will then have a demonstration on Willow Weaving given by Jayne Chapman. This will be followed by refreshments and a raffle. It will be a very interesting meeting so hope to see lots of you there.

Hello everyone. This is just a quick reminder that there will be NO meeting this month {August]. Our next meeting will be on September 9th. We will hold our AGM first, it won't take long , then we have a very interesting demonstration of 'Willow Weaving' by Jayne Chapman. It should be a really good night. See you all there.

60th Anniversary Evening

We had a fabulous night on Wednesday celebrating our Diamond Anniversary. There was a great turn out of members and guests, all of whom were treated to drinks, nibbles and a lovely cake with their coffee.
The highlight of the night was of course our demonstrator Nick Grounds. He made some beautiful arrangements and no oasis in sight. He explained and showed us how to use test tubes in unusual ways to show off the lovely flowers. He entertained us all evening with his stories of travels and encounters, acquisition of some of his plant material, all so funny, lots of laughs. He made our evening very special. Thank you Nick.

Hello everyone. We have a very special evening for our next meeting. This is on Wednesday July 8th at St Nicholas' Church Hall , Bow Street, Guisborough. Doors open 7pm for a 7.30 start.
We are celebrating 60 years as a flower club in Guisborough, a Diamond Celebration 💐💐💐.
We have national demonstrator Nick Grounds helping us celebrate with his title of "Diamonds are Forever". Nick was also our guest demonstrator at our 50th anniversary and we are so pleased to welcome him back.
So, please join us for this special celebration. It will be a lovely night, and don't forget you could win one of Nick's beautiful arrangements in the raffle.
Non members £12 including refreshments.

A date for your diaries....
Wednesday July 8th we are celebrating our 60th year as Guisborough Flower Club. We are going to have a really special night, with Nick Grounds who is a national demonstrator and his title is "Diamonds are Forever". Can you imagine winning one of his arrangements in the raffle? 😃💐.
It will be a great evening with lots of treats so hope to see you all there. For members it is a free night and for guests it is £12. It will be a real treat.

Last night at our flower club we had Wendy Smith demonstrating. She talked us through many of her "favourite things" from beautiful containers for flowers , through holidays abroad and places to visit here. Each was accompanied with a beautiful flower arrangement to represent it. They were all so vibrant, some really unusual flowers, gorgeous colours, they all looked lovely. The ladies that won them in the raffle were so pleased. Thank you Wendy for a lovely night.
