Join GCGC for a new term on 7th September, 2026 at Godalming Minster, Octagon Room, Church Street Godalming GU7 1ER at 7.15 pm when we welcome our new Choir Director, Tim Uffindell who is joining us bringing a wealth of experience of directing choirs in both the UK and Europe. Tim's knowledge and breadth of teaching of community choirs as well as mass choirs and school choirs has led him to Europe and his Gospel workshops in the UK are not to be missed. GCGC is so very excited to be collaborating with Tim in this new role and we invite you to come along and share in this exciting avenue of exploration that GCGC is embarking on.

We also sang our hearts out to Vaughan Larmond at the end of the term. Vaughan has been our accompanist for 8+ years and now is moving on to new adventures and experiences. We are so very sad to see him go but know that we have had the best of experiences under his musical leadership. His talents are awesome, he has led us beautifully and we shall miss him heaps! Our deepest gratitude to him for all these years, may his path forward be wide open, full of joy and success!

Trust Me (Richard Smallwood) - happened to be the last song we sang under Russell's direction... memorable moment, many smiles and gratefulness for this mad but much loved man. GCGC are privileged to have had Russell in our lives, a talented young man who now moves on to more opportunities, may his path be full and free.

Summertime and the living is easy... Oh how true, with this lovely warm weather and long days, this will change but Gospel music and singing never changes, Yay!! GCGC are on summer break now but we ended our Spring term with a simply divine evening of singing our favourite gospel songs as we said our farewells to Russell Blackman and Vaughan Larmond, both of whom have been with us for several years, and with whom we have so enjoyed our Choir experience. We have been so blessed to have both their talents and commitments to our Choir and we are forever grateful to them. They changed us, made us grow and challenge ourselves and we have huge admiration for them as a result. Our Choir family will miss them tons but we wish them every success in their new ventures, we send lots of positive vibes to them as they move on in their careers in Gospel music. Here's a taste of what our last evening was like - much laughter as we did our best to remember all the words of songs we haven't sung in a while!! It was a very moving evening in more ways than one!
