Swanky ride, right? Wrong, the driver of this Audi TT has just had their vehicle seized.

New powers under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 mean that officers no longer need to provide the owner/driver of a vehicle with a warning prior to seizure. Due to the reckless and anti-social manner of driving, we have seized their vehicle whilst we continue to investigate the various driving offences reported by residents in .

The owner is required to pay £192 recovery fee and £26 a day whilst the vehicle is in our care, if the fee isn't paid by the 21 October this year the vehicle will be crushed.

We encourage members of the public to continue to report dangerous driving, which will not be tolerated on the roads of Surrey and we will use the powers available to us to ensure that all road users remain safe.

Driving is a privilege, not a right. To keep all road users safe we will seize cars where appropriate to do so.

We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in East Clandon.

Officers were called to Epsom Road just after 11pm on Friday, 21 August following a report of a collision involving a white Seat Leon, a black Seat Leon and a grey Seat Leon.

Sadly, the driver of the white Seat, a man in his late teens, and the passenger, a man in his early 20s, died at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.

A 22-year-old man from Woking, a 21-year-old woman from Guildford and a 19-year-old man from Guildford have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in police custody.

Epsom Road remains closed to allow officers to carry out their enquiries at the scene.

Were you in the area between 10.50pm and 11pm on Friday, 21 August?

We are asking anyone who witnessed this collision or the events leading up to it to make contact.

Motorists are also asked to review any dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.
