Today we practised some witchcraft... Ball levitation 🪄
We started by playing pass while sitting on benches in the shade while we waited for everyone to arrive.
Then we did some shooting for 10 minutes before returning to the shelter for ice pops! Impressively, they managed to stay frozen and everyone enjoyed them (even the floor! 🙈).
Next, we played 3 in a Row (tic-tac-toe). Each team took turns placing one of their three bibs in a hoop. Once all the bibs were in play, they could move one of their bibs to a new space.
Our youngest team came out on top with 2 wins out of 2 – fabulous teamwork! 👏
We then practised our ball levitation... or were they actually throwing the balls? Who knows 🤣
Instead of simply walking up and choosing where to place their bib, they had to successfully get the ball into a hoop in order to earn their placement.
Our middle team won that challenge, showing off their impressive ball accuracy 👏
Our older team came second in both challenges, so each team ended up with the same number of points 😁
The players then decided to have a play with the hoops for a bit before we moved on to our matches.
We played a game of 5v5 and they all smashed it! Our main focus was footwork, and everyone became much more aware of when they moved their feet. Some even pulled themselves up for footwork infringements 🤣🙈
