Medway League of Friends

Medway League of Friends Medway League of Friends was established over 50 years ago to provide a link between local healthcare services and the community they serve.

We are a Charity that has been established for 50 years and we raise money from the sale of items in our Shops. These Shops provide a lifeline for the Patients, Visitors & Staff of the Medway Maritime Hospital and the profits are used to purchase beneficial items for various Wards & Departments.

The majority of the team working in the Shops are dedicated volunteers who take pride in keeping our

customers satisfied with the essentials of life whether it is a box of tissues, a cup of coffee or a bar of chocolate.

The Medway League of Friends is part of Attend which is the National Association and is their flagship.

We are enormously grateful for the support and hard work of our team of dedicated volunteers. As you can see they do a huge amount of work for us and by extension the local community. Not only do they provide a service to the customers of the League of Friends shops and the listeners of Hospital Radio Medway, they are also directly responsible for raising a significant amount of money toward improving the patient experience in Medway Maritime and Sheppey Community Hospitals.

Good morning. Due to equipment failure, we are currently unable to serve hot food (other than soup, toast & tea cakes) from our cafe in Medway Maritime Hospital. We aim to have this rectified as soon as possible.
