Would you like to have a say in the future of Gillingham?

Gillingham Rising is a community-led initiative focused on helping our town become more connected, inviting and full of life. We want to support the high street, encourage more community activity, and create events and opportunities that bring people into town.

If you care about Gillingham and would like to listen, contribute, support us or get involved, please come along to our AGM.

**Gillingham is growing — but how do we help it feel more connected?**

With more housing and more people moving into the area, Gillingham has huge potential.

But growth alone does not automatically create community spirit, town-centre activity or a thriving local feel.

That is part of what Gillingham Rising is about.

We want to help create more reasons for people to come into town, spend locally, connect with others and feel proud of where they live.

This starts with small steps, local events and community involvement — and grows from there.

What would make you come into town more often?

We want Gillingham Rising to be shaped by the people who live here.

As we begin planning local events and activities, we’d love to know what would genuinely encourage you to come into town more often and spend more time here.

Would it be:

local markets
food stalls
live music
dog-friendly events
activities for children
more for older residents
seasonal events
community get-togethers
independent traders
evening events
