Forfar Community Council The purpose of a Community Council is to act as a voice for its area. The CC are volunteers, working to communicate the views and concerns of local people.

Royal Burgh of Forfar Community Council is a statutory body of volunteers established to communicate the views and concerns of local people on a wide range of issues of public concern and make representations to the Council, other public sector bodies and private agencies on matters within their sphere of interest. This includes but is not limited to planning applications, licensing and a matters

of public concern. Royal Burgh of Forfar Community Council meets at 7pm on the 3rd Thursday of every month (2nd Thursday in December) at Volunteer Action Angus, 1-3 St James’s Road, Forfar DD8 2AQ

Angus Community Development Conference- “Inspiring Communities, Community Assets and Ownership”

The aim of the conference is to build capacity, inform, inspire, and support the community groups, charities and organisations of Angus who aspire to deliver community led projects of all stages. This can be from getting projects started and off the ground to taking ownership of land or buildings that will lead to transformational community driven initiatives.

The Development Trust Association of Scotland (DTAS), Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) will be facilitating three of the workshops available, aimed at providing organisations with information on: "How Community Asset Transfer works", Building Facilities Management and New Futures Programme - Former Places of Workshops"

🛠️Road safety upgrades on A90 between Forfar and Bogindollo.

📅Sunday 4th May to Friday 25th July.
❌Lane closures on the north and southbound carriageways, while keeping the carriageway open.
⚠️Junctions and turning boxes will remain open during the lane closures. A temporary 50mph speed limit will also be in place during the work.
