Along the way, you’ll make new friends, learn new skills and share your own skills, interests and experience. 🌟

Whether you’d like to volunteer directly with girls or support behind the scenes, there’s a role to suit you. There’s no set formula for volunteering, you can give the time and commitment that works for you.

1st Holywell Rainbows 🌈 organised a sponsored walk down Greenfield Valley and raised an incredible £415 for the unit. They also took the girls to Jade Jones Pavilion for a fun end-of-term trip bowling and food. Furthermore, some girls have moved up to Brownies and others have received their Bronze and Gold awards.

We would like to wish Bethan Lloyd a huge well done!

On the 1st August, Bethan performed with the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra (NSGSO) and National Scout and Guide Concert Band (NSGCB).

Bethan, who plays the Cornet, took part in a selection process which saw her win a place in NSGCB amongst 176 other members of Scouting and Guiding.

A week was spent rehearsing numerous musical pieces, as well as taking part in a talent contest, various trips out, a ceilidh, and numerous challenges which followed a Task Master theme.

The culmination of this hard work took the form of three concerts which saw the band perform pieces from The Incredibles, Phantom of the Opera, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Bethan has also been asked to join the National Scout and Guide Big Band, which will take her to London next year to perform in a concert at the Royal Military Chapel with members of the Royal Corps of Army Music!

What a fantastic achievement! Well Done!

Flint Brownies and Rainbows had a visit from Animal Encounters to end the term - Tawny Owl Kathy conquered her fear of spiders! Very proud of herself!

St Asaph Brownies recently had an end of term treat from Jane and Phil’s ice cream van , the girls all enjoyed delicious ice cream treats and slushes.

2nd Holywell Brownies have recently made some dignity bags for the local hospital. These bags contain toiletries for those arriving unexpectedly and those without family able to provide them with the supplies at the time.
