September Film – LEE showing on Friday 11th September (tickets available from 28th August).

Our first film for the autumn season is Lee, starring Kate Winslet. It tells theremarkable story of Elizabeth “Lee” Miller, a New York fashion model who became an acclaimed World War II combat photographer for Vogue. Framed by a later-in-life interview, the film follows Lee’s journey from her carefree days as an artist in pre-war France to the brutal front lines of Europe. Set in 1977, the story unfolds as an older Lee recounts her past to a young, inquisitive interviewer, played by Josh O’Connor. Through a series of flashbacks, she gradually reveals the hidden trauma and harsh realities behind the photographs that became part of her extraordinary wartime archive.

After a successful season of films, we will now take a break for the summer months and resume in September with a new programme.

We would love you to join us at the Feering Community Centre in the autumn when you can enjoy a selection of films with friends and neighbours in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Everyone is made very welcome.
