“If your washing machine blows up, you can use your neighbours, if you run out eggs someone will drop one by..”

Meet Philip, a founding member of cohousing Exeter.
Philip and Jane , bring a wealth of lived experience to the project.
Having lived in Springhill cohousing in Stroud with their sons, they know the benefits of living in community.

What’s special about Exeter?
It’s a project that is moving at pace due to having an enabling developer funding and driving it.
This means the group saves on years of hard work and risk, getting it off the ground.
Cohousing Exeter is currently a group of 7 households, looking for others interested in ageing well to join them. If you also think there’s has got to be a more connected way to live and would like to know, do get in touch.
We have an open day on Saturday October 10th in Exeter, and regular online information sessions.🌈🌞
Come and the meet people and find out more. 🧡🌏✨💚

One of our Cohousing Group members has been busy growing courgettes. A great example of how growing food can bring a community together.

A few seeds, a little care, and a wealth of harvest to share. Sharing the harvest means surplus doesn’t go to waste, neighbours get to enjoy something home-grown, and food becomes another way to connect with one another. 💚

That’s one of the lovely things about cohousing: we can grow, share and enjoy more together than we could alone.

So, if your courgette plants are producing faster than you can eat them… you know what to do! 🥒😉
