The type of personal information we collect: If you contact us to ask to be added to our e-mailing list we collect and process the following information: Your name and email address. We use Eventbrite
for ticketing and you should read its privacy policy before using it to book on to an event or following our page. We will be able to see your name and email address if you use Eventbrite. If you don’t want to use Eventbrite then please email us directly or follow our page / click ‘Going’ to an event on Facebook. Similarly, if you like or follow our page, Facebook will store your name in the list of people who have liked or followed the page and we will be able to see it. We assume that as you are using Facebook, you have read and are happy with its privacy policy. How we get the personal information and why we have it: The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- You’ve emailed us to say you want to be added to our e-mailing list.
- You’ve emailed us with an enquiry.
- You've engaged with us on Facebook.
- You've engaged with us on Eventbrite. We use the information that you have given us in order to keep you up to date on what we’re reading and when we’re meeting, and to answer your questions. How we store your personal information: Your information is securely stored. If you give us your name and email address we store it on our e-mailing list until you tell us you don’t want to receive our emails any more. We will then dispose your information by deleting your information from our mailing list. We will keep your subscription email within our Gmail account until or unless you tell us you want to unsubscribe. All other emails from you will be deleted on at least a 3 monthly basis.
