🌷🌞 April Showers, May Flowers... 🐾

Somehow April and May galloped past before we managed to post our monthly calendar photo reminder. Oops!

So this month we're making up for lost time and inviting you to share your favourite spring galgo and greyhound photos for our 2027 Greyhounds in Need calendar.

Whether it's bluebells, blossom, sunny snoozes, zoomies in the long grass, or simply your hound looking impossibly gorgeous, we'd love to see them!

💚Today is World Galgo Day 💚 and the end of the hunting season in Spain.

Every year, thousands of galgos are born and bred to hunt. Many endure a life of fear and cruelty, and when they are no longer useful, they are abandoned to fend for themselves or killed.

The 'lucky' ones will be dumped at rescue shelters, which will quickly reach capacity and lack the funding and support to deal with the aftermath of the hunting season. But they do...because they care. And GIN will help as much as we can - because these dogs deserve a better life than the one they were born into.
