With the season gently turning and autumn with us, you might be wondering how best to enjoy these longer evenings without endless TV repeats, quizzes and gameshows. As readers, we think that a quiet, cosy night in with a good book for company and a cup of your favourite brew to hand takes some beating.

We can help. Not only do we have thousands of lovely books to keep you entertained, we’ve also got some handy things on our website to inspire you and help you to find your next great read.

Pop the kettle on, break out those special biscuits and have a good old rummage through our Readers’ Totebag for some great reading ideas and inspiration: Reader’s Totebag: https://easingwoldcommunitylibrary.com/readers-totebag/

If we haven’t got exactly the book you want on our shelves we can usually order it for you.

Enjoy your local community library this autumn.

** SAIL ON SPOOKY SEAS! **

Especially for Halloween, you’re invited to make a ghost ship crewed by a motley band of spooks, vampires, undead pirates and things that go bump in the night!

Ghostly Galleons is a spine-tingling FREE craft session for children aged 6 to 12 accompanied by a parent or guardian. The bony hands upon the ship’s wheel guiding this creepy craft session safely across dark, haunted seas will be those of the renowned Chris Geeson Creative Clubs.

It’s on Wednesday 28th October from 10am until 12 Noon. Places are limited so booking is essential. Pirate hats and phantom parrots optional.

TO BOOK YOUR VOYAGE

Sail into the library and say ‘Arrr!‘ Or you can shiver our timbers by ringing 01609 534584. Alternatively, email us on [email protected]

“Who’s a pretty boy then?” Who said that?!

Ghostly Galleons is kindly sponsored by Britcab.
