🌟 Shaping the future of Durham Area Youth together 🌟

A huge thank you to our amazing Trustees, staff team and young volunteers who gave their time and energy to tonight’s strategy meeting.

Tonight was about looking ahead and helping to shape the next three years of Durham Area Youth — the areas we focus on, the opportunities we create and how we can continue to make a real difference to the young people and communities we support.
💙💚❤️

Most importantly, it was about making sure we heard the voice from all involved. Our young people bring a unique insight, our staff bring experience from working directly with young people, and our Trustees bring valuable leadership and challenge.

We’re incredibly excited about the journey ahead and what the next three years could bring!

Volunteers from the community in West Rainton have really rallied together this past year to save the Jubilee Hall. We use the building every week for youth group and couldn’t do what we do without it!

There will soon be a transformation of the youth room providing additional space for trainings, meetings and community cooking projects.

On Wednesday, our young people gave canoeing a try! 🛶

Some of them have never had this experience before, so it was great for them to get involved, try their best and then end the session by telling us they loved it! 😁
