1st Newfield Scout Group 1st Newfield meet at Roseberry Primary School in Newfield on Thursday evenings in term time.

Timings:
Beavers: 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Cubs: 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Scouts: 7:30pm - 9:00pm

We had a fantastic time at our winter camp at 1st Burnmoor Scouts site. All sections experienced a variety of activities, including archery, climbing, caving, crate stacking, axe throwing and catapults, with a lot of games and crafts in between - including our Scouts running a "Newfield's Got Talent" competition.

As always, we had a campfire and songs for all sections, too, which they all loved.

We are always open to new members - get in touch if you're interested.

Last Thursday our Scouts learned some origami - boats, hats and jumping frogs! We then challenged them to race their frogs, and - Scouts being Scouts - they decided to challenge themselves further by racing their frogs whilst also having to keep their paper hats on their heads.

Our Cubs and Scouts worked together tonight, continuing our theme of teamwork. In small groups, they were given a series of Lego challenges, with points given for creativity, skill, speed, and working together well. The session was planned by our young leader Luke, who was also presented with his young leader belt to signify completion of all his training. Well done Luke!

Back in the summer, all our sections had a brilliant evening using the facilities at 1st Burnmoor Scouts. Emails have just gone out inviting all our young people to join a winter sleepover at this great venue in just a few weeks. Can't wait to see what we get up to!
