More memories 🤔🚒
Today we look back at camps and competitions, over the years our young people have been lucky to travel all over the UK. We’ve been as far south as Portsmouth for United Kingdom Rescue Organisation , to the big smoke of London and Liverpool for UK Fire Cadets Games, and round to Campbeltown SFRS Youth Volunteer Scheme for what used to be an annual drill competition ❤️
There’s been some floods, some heat waves, the occasional win 🏆 but most importantly a lot of fun and laughter 😊

Today’s 25th Birthday memories sees us share some community event and social action activities from over the years 😍

Every year our young people take part in a range of community events from open days, marshalling races, Remembrance Day. As well as this we often take part in social action type activities which have included public CPR awareness days, fundraising for charities, becoming .

Something that’s been a huge part of our unit over the years has been Car Washes! We have supported too many station car washes to count at this point and had too many post car wash water fights 😂🚒💦🌊

We’ve been proud to take part in these to raise funds for Fire Fighters Charity over the years, with some car washes also helping to raise funds for our unit and support lots of fun residentials🔥

Did you know it’s the 25th Anniversary of our unit formally launching this month?

On the 29th May 2001, MSP Iain Gray formally opened Dumbarton Fire Cadets, then part of Strathclyde Fire Brigade 🚒🔥

In the week leading up to the 29th we’ll be sharing some memories on our social media pages 😊
