We will soon announce more details about a fun summer family project that is being organised by Helensburgh Community Hub, Fun First, Book Nook at The Hub - Helensburgh's secondhand community bookshop, Helensburgh Library, H&L LiveArgyll community learning team, and The Hill House NTS. It will be packed with FREE events and activities to help you plan things to do with the kids during the summer holidays.
As part of the project we are compiling a list of regular or one-off family-friendly events taking places across Helensburgh and Lomond so if your organisation or group is planning anything please let us know so you can be included. Please note we will only be including events that are free or donation based and taking place during July and August.
To include your event please send details to [email protected]

Please think about how your property can contribute towards mitigating against flooding or increasing biodiversity. Avoid increasing the amount of hard surface area and instead think about how you can reduce the effect of any hard surfaces you have. Install planters, water butt's, soakaways, that will hold rainwater and help prevent flooding in Helensburgh. Your property may not be at risk of flooding but your actions affect others.

At this year’s AGM, we’re introducing a Scout uniform recycling scheme to help support families across the group while caring for the environment ♻️

We’ll have our current stock of pre-loved (and freshly laundered! 😊) uniform available to look through, so families can take the items they need. We’d simply ask for a small donation back to the group in return.

If your young person is moving up and no longer needs parts of their uniform, we’d be grateful for any donations. A great way to give uniforms a second life, save money, and help fellow Scout families πŸ’™

Sneak peak of my private meeting with Pope Leo XIV! What an incredible moment. (We managed to get the pictures after all - but are still waiting for the official ones without watermark). I offered his Holiness a deposit return system for the Vatican. With his support this will speed up the introduction of deposit return in Italy and all over the world. (80% less littered plastic bottles within 6 months when introduced).
In return I was offered the 'Official medal of the Pontificate (no. 1308 of 3000).

Still more photos to come! Thank you everyone who made this possible!
All the support, the 'soupies', my team and Tible for the deposit machine which hopefully we will install in the coming months.

Thank you all!
