🌱 ABCAN Seed Fund Now Open!

Do you have an idea that could help your community take action on climate change?

The Argyll & Bute Climate Action Network (ABCAN) Seed Fund is now open, offering grants of £50 – £1,000 to support community-led climate action projects across Argyll & Bute.

Funding could support activities that:
🌿 Raise awareness of climate change
🤝 Bring communities together
💡 Explore new ideas and solutions
🌎 Support a fairer, more sustainable future
🗣️ Help local voices influence climate action

Open to community groups, organisations, trusts, charities and CICs across Argyll & Bute.

A reminder that it's just over a week til the next monthly Helensburgh Repair Hub on Saturday 27th June from 10.30am-12pm at the Hub.
Our fabulous team can tackle wooden items, textiles, bikes and household electricals (not computers or mobile phones).
And there's a cuppa and cake for you while you wait.
We will be taking a break in July but back again at the end of August and a couple of pop up Repair Hubs coming at Cove in September and Arrochar in October.
Giving a longer life to household items and saving them fromn landfill.

Beach Clean organised by Helensburgh Community Council and Plastic Free Helensburgh every third Sat of the month 10:00-11:00.
For East Bay cleans there is coffee and cake at Helensburgh Community Hub at 11am.
Equipment provided. Even half an hour helps 💚

Free certified Carbon Literacy training is coming to Argyll & Bute this June!
Designed by ABCAN specifically for the needs, challenges, and opportunities of our region, this two-day online training covers everything from the science of our changing climate to community resilience, the just transition, and how to communicate action effectively.
Complete both sessions and you'll receive an official The Carbon Literacy Project Certificate, which can count towards your workplace CPD.
