After a cancellation due to a heat wave!!! Congratulations to Great Wyrley Townswomen Guild who were this years winners.

The cakes raised £55 for charity, well done ladies and thanks to all who made this event happen

My story but inspired by a friend who has posted this today and it is something that all women should be aware of:
It's 7 years in remission for me. I never found a lump or had any symptoms but luckily a regular mammogram found something.
Never miss a mammogram. It could save your life.
You will not be invited for one if you are over 71 but you can still have regular mammograms: just phone the breast screening unit in your area.

I (Karen Moore) have just had a request for a recording of a choir singing 'I am a Small Part of the World' so I have sent the mp3 of TG Singers - Sedgley singing it. The request was from the daughter of a long standing TG member because she wants it to be played at her mother's funeral. How lovely is that?

Good news for all those interested in the future of the TG archives:
A lot of historical TG information and copies of past TG magazines are being transferred very soon to the Borthwick Institute for Archives at the University of York. It will take a few months for it to be catalogued but the plan is that it will be made available for public search. Further news about the archives will be made available on this page as soon as it is available.
