Calling anyone who lives with type 1 diabetes, has a loved one with it or a variation of T1D like LADA etc.

We are practically bursting at the seems with excitement to create something Dorking doesn’t have but our type 1 diabetic community needs.

Who is behind this?
• A local GP, Ivan.
• Surrey Souls founder, Amanda (type 1)
• A friend of Ivan’s who is type 1 diabetic & an endurance sports enthusiast, Giacamo & his wife Francesca, who is also in the medical sphere.

Too often after diagnosis we are sent home and pretty much left to our own devices.

There is SO MUCH to navigate when you live with this condition. For everyone. Parents, partners, friends.

It’s not easy to operate like a real pancreas 24/7.

So many feelings, emotions, questions, fears, situations to wrap your head around.

We hope to offer opportunities to invite inspiration and hope into life with type one.

We’re going to be hosting regular meet ups, for anyone who lives with type in their lives. Personally or second hand.

Down the line we hope to open up events where we can come together and do something fun and active like hiking, yoga and other wellbeing experiences.

We also hope to bring in inspiring individuals who live with type one in the sporting world or who have exceeded expectations & really reached beyond type one.

Tickets for the Surrey Souls Christmas Parrrty are now live and ready to fly.

It's going to be more of an event experience: a creative workshop for decorating Christmas decorations and tree hangings, a caterer for some tasty canapés and nibbles, staff to keep your drinks topped up, lots of silly and fun team games, a surprise to bring smiles and festive sparkle AND a wholesome element to bring us all together as we reflect on the year; you'll also be invited to write a little something for someone very special. More on that on the day..!

I initially wanted to set the price between £25 and £35, but that proved impossible to ensure I broke even.
Tickets are £50 and I hope you can make it.

For those of you who arent ready for our last Box Hill Yoga class on the 20th Sept...FEAR NOT!

Amanda (that's me!) is going to continue the classes. OFC it would be amazing to continue the energy and community spirit and the autumn/winter is coming so shelter is needed for a safe practice.
