The PRA has been given permission to restore a sadly neglected bench under the tree by OPS in the name of Sarah Slade. We also need to get permission and work with the family of Ken Cole, a former cricketer, who is commemorated on it. Does anyone please have any information about Ken or his family so we can get in touch with them? PM me if you wish.

The PRA's request re how many traffic wardens have visited Swanmill Gardens & the rest of Pixham since SCC took over the scheme in July 2023 (ie 6 months ago) was answered this morning. 15 visits to Swanmill with 10 PCNs (penalty charge notices). the rest of Pixham - 65 to Deepdene Avenue 4PCNs), Leslie Rd 9 with 3 PCNs, Pixham Lane 25 visits with 3 PCNs. total 133 visits with 10 PCNs issued.

Responding to residents' concerns re the lack of traffic warden visits to Pixham, and particularly Swanmill Gardens which has a permit scheme, the PRA wrote to Surrey County Council, who took this over. No response. We then wrote directly to the company that now runs the scheme. No response. Yesterday we sent a Freedom of Information request to SCC on this matter and should hear back within 28 wrking days.

The PRA Committee is deeply saddened by the news that OPS will close on 30th June. We'd like to emphasise that we are a separate organisation to the school and will continue to exist for the wonderful Pixham community. Please direct any questions to the OPS Directors, not us, as we are not in a position to answer them.

Have your say about the traffic & parking proposals presented by STAG, Pixham's traffic action group.
They have several well-thought-through ideas and want to get your reactions.
Our Surrey County Councillor Hazel Watson will be there.

Want to have your say on speed and traffic proposals for Pixham Lane? Then SAVE THE DATE!
All Pixham residents are invited to a public meeting on Tuesday 16th January at 7.30 at Old Pixham School. More information will be available here and through your letterbox in the new year.
Following the public meeting in September, a number of residents got together to form the Pixham Speed and Traffic Action Group (STAG), which is affiliated to the PRA. The January meeting is to get your views on a range of possible options that they have researched. The Group is hopeful that there will be funding available to put some of these in place.
