A splash of colour has arrived at Dorking (Main) Station! 🎨🚂

If you’re passing through the station, take a look at the fantastic new artwork now brightening up the platforms!

We had the pleasure of installing these panels, which were created by talented local artists during Pippfest. It was a brilliant community effort, and we’re proud to have played a small part in bringing the artwork to its new home for everyone to enjoy.

A big well done to everyone involved in creating such an eye-catching display – we think it really brightens up the station! 🌈

Keep an eye out next time you’re waiting for your train!

Another project complete🌟

We were delighted to be asked to make some playground items for the Ducklings Reception Class at Powell Corderoy School.

Pictured are Peter from Dorking Men’s Shed, who delivered the items on behalf of the team, alongside Richard Darke, Headteacher of Powell Corderoy School.

These pieces were handcrafted by our talented members, and we hope they provide many hours of imaginative play for the children!

A special thank you also goes to CDT Tiles and Brewers Dorking for kindly donating the materials and paint to help make this project possible. Your support is greatly appreciated 💙

It was a pleasure for us to create these signs for Dorking United Reformed Church for their Meeting Place and Remembrance Garden. And don’t they look great in the sunshine! ☀️

Projects like this are what we’re all about - bringing people together, sharing skills, and giving something back to the local community.

We’re so pleased to hear the signs have added something special to the space, and we hope they’ll be enjoyed by many for years to come 🌿

We were asked to refurbish the benches opposite Dorking Halls giving them a much-needed refresh and bringing them back to life.

A great team effort all round 👏

Spring sunshine, good company, and an important cause ☀️🚶‍♂️

Four members of Dorking Men’s Shed took on the 22km ‘Spoke to a Bloke’ walk from Worthing Pier to Brighton Marina - part of a global initiative by raising awareness around men’s mental health.

With around 30 men setting off at 8am, spirits stayed high all the way - helped by a well-earned tea, cake & fruit stop in Shoreham 🍰

Tony, David, Kevin and Tim crossed the finish line at 1:30pm and celebrated the only way you should… with a drink in hand 🍻

A brilliant effort and a powerful reminder that sometimes, a simple conversation can make all the difference 💬💙

Would anyone like to give this incredible boat made by Dorking Men's Shed a good home? We have been lucky enough to have this beauty in our foyer since November, promoting Peter Pan and most recently The Little Mermaid. But after our Easter Panto next Tuesday we will need to find a new home for it…could this be you?

(Crab and pelican not included but the parrot is 🦜)
