⚓ Merchant Navy Day
Today we’re marking Merchant Navy Day, taking a moment to appreciate the men and women who worked at sea to keep Britain going. A small but meaningful nod to an important part of our history.

🎨✨ Pointillism Painting at Silverlink
We got creative with a bit of spot painting — using Q‑tips, paint, and plenty of imagination! Everyone designed their own colourful dot artwork, experimenting with patterns, shapes and pictures. It was a relaxing, mindful activity with lots of concentration. We ended up with some brilliant pieces full of colour and personality.

☕🃏 Cuppa & Cards at Silverlink
We always enjoy a relaxing cuppa while playing a game of Higher or Lower.
Everyone got involved, cheering each other on and celebrating the lucky streaks. It was a lovely, chilled activity to round off the day — great company, great conversation, and a good old-fashioned card game to keep us thinking and smiling.

🧦☕ A Little bit of Sorting at Silverlink
We kept things simple with a warm cuppa, a good chat, and a bit of sock pairing. Plenty of laughs, plenty of teamwork, and a surprisingly satisfying pile of matched socks by the end. Sometimes it’s the small, everyday moments that make the best memories.

🍉 Fruit Tasting at Silverlink part 1
We explored a range of exotic fruits including mango, lychee, dragon fruit, figs and kiwi. Everyone had the chance to hold, smell and feel each fruit before peeling or chopping, and we shared our thoughts and guesses about what they might be.
There were lots of smiles, plenty of curious faces, and some very confident fruit detectives. We finished by enjoying all the fruits together in a fresh fruit salad for dessert — a lovely way to end the activity.

👋 Left Handers Day at Silverlink
We marked Left Handers Day by learning a few fun facts about left‑handed folk, then put ourselves to the test — tower building, colouring, writing our names, even a bit of throwing — all with our weaker hand.
Safe to say it brought on plenty of giggles.

🌼 Garden Creations at Silverlink
We’ve been getting hands‑on again, making bridges and ladders for the garden using old bamboo pieces, and even crafting a wind chime to finish it off.
A lovely mix of teamwork, recycling, and imagination.
