We’re halfway there – 50 tickets already sold!

Our Family Virtual Race Night is just around the corner and we would love to see families from across the Group there for a fantastic evening together.

This is one of our key fundraising events and every ticket helps support activities for our young people and the upkeep of our Scouting facilities.

What an absolute pleasure having The Hygiene Bank joining us this week.

Thank you so much for every donation made 🥰

Helen and Serena had the pleasure of meeting the Beavers at 58th Doncaster Scout Group this week on Tuesday and Thursday.

They had done hygiene worksheets, colouring, discussions and calculations about the costs of staying clean, word searches and crosswords. Such engagement from children so young.

Two incredible collections for us, plus some of the most inquisitive questions we’ve ever been asked. It was rather emotional hearing their young minds working- I’m sure there’s some future volunteers in there!

As part of our upcoming race night - sponsored by My Pension Expert, one of our Scouts has been lucky enough to be selected for the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027 and is on a quest to raise £3500.

She will be selling ownership of the horses for the races for £5 at each section meetings until the race night. (Cash only)

For this you get to name your horse and if it wins in the race you get a bottle of spirits.

Even if you cannot make the race night, you can still buy a horse and we'll give you a ring with your prize. So please dig deep to support Ruby, as one day you child could be lucky enough to be in this same position and we doing everything we can to support the young people of our group.

If you can attend and buy tickets that would be even better! As we want to fill the room in support!

Bets are just £1, and every penny raised goes straight back into Scouting — supporting our HQ, equipment and activities for our young people.

Doncaster Danum Scouts have announced the appointment of David Plant as the new District Lead Volunteer, marking a significant moment for Scouting across the borough.

You will shortly be receiving an email from the group regarding Census, its mandatory that we complete a Census each year for our group and report back aggregated figures to Scouting HQ at Gilwell Park.

They use this information assess the diversity across Scouting in the UK.
