By joining the Military Wives Choirs, you are becoming part of a support network of over 2000 ladies. We meet on a Wednesday, from 18:45hrs in Didcot.

Please message us to find out more. We are a crazy bunch of ladies, who love to laugh and sing. We might occasionally drink tea and sneak a slice of cake. We truly stick together both in choir and in life. Come join the fun!!

Thinking of joining us? Now is a lovely time 💜

If you have been wondering what it might be like to sing with us, now is the perfect moment to give it a try. We are dusting off the Christmas scores and getting ready for our favourite season — harmonies, laughter and plenty of festive sparkle.

We meet every Wednesday at 18:45 at the Vauxhall Barracks Welfare House, and we welcome anyone with a military connection — serving, veteran, partner, family member or anyone whose life is linked to the military community.

If coming along for the first time feels a little daunting, please don’t worry. We’re very happy to meet you outside and walk in with you, so you never have to arrive alone.

What a day! Our Sing Out at Westgate Oxford 🎶

What an incredible day we have had at Sing Out in Westgate Oxford. The atmosphere was joyful from start to finish, and we are still buzzing.

Across our three sets, 55 wonderful women took part — singers from 11 different Military Wives Choirs coming together as one united voice. The sound, the energy, the connection… it was everything Sing Out is meant to be.

Oxford, thank you for listening, cheering, pausing in your day to soak up the music, and supporting us so warmly. Your kindness helps us continue the work we do for women connected to the military community🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sing Out at Westgate Oxford – This Saturday

We’re so excited to be taking part in Sing Out at the Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford this Saturday, 3rd October. You’ll find us in Leiden Square, just outside John Lewis, bringing music, joy and community spirit to the heart of the city.

Come and hear Abingdon & Didcot Military Wives Choir singing alongside four other local Military Wives Choirs in three uplifting performances at:

• 11:30
• 14:00
• 16:00

We’ll be performing a beautiful selection of our 13 core songs as part of the nationwide Sing Out challenge — one BIG choir performance happening across the UK and overseas.

We’re also fundraising on the day, with donations being matched, helping us support our choir and the women in our local military community.

So please come along, enjoy the music, and help us raise awareness of who we are. Your support truly makes a difference 💜💜

💜 We LOVE a wedding… especially when it is one of our own!

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of singing at a beautiful whirlwind military‑life wedding, Christening and first birthday party, and goodness did we have fun.

Military life sometimes means quick decisions and big adventures — and this one came with music, pick n mix, laughter, and a whole lot of love.

Huge congratulations to the newlyweds. Wishing you both every happiness as you start married life together. 💍🎶✨

We are starting off a brand‑new season with fresh songs, new faces, and all the joy that comes from singing together. If you have been thinking about joining us, this is honestly the best time — everyone is starting the new repertoire from scratch, so you can jump straight in.

We meet every Wednesday at Vauxhall Barracks, arriving from 18:45, and anyone with a military connection is welcome — serving personnel, veterans, partners, families, and anyone who supports the military community. The door is open, the atmosphere is friendly, and the music is guaranteed to lift your week.

No auditions. No pressure. Just laughter, harmony, and a group of women who understand the power of singing side by side.

💜🎶 Military Wives Choir — We Are Back This Week! 🎶💜

If you enjoy singing and you have a military connection — serving, veteran, ex, work life or family — we would be delighted to meet you.

We are beginning our new season with a social evening at The DISH at Harwell from 18:30 hours this Wednesday. It will be a relaxed and friendly opportunity to chat, laugh, and get to know the choir before rehearsals begin again.

I have reserved some tables so that we can settle in comfortably, and we are especially excited to welcome new people from the local area. Whether you are curious about joining or simply wish to meet the group, you will find a warm, supportive community ready to make you feel at home.

🎶 Summer break update from the choir 🎶

We are officially on our summer break, enjoying a little sunshine, rest, and time with family — but we are not gone for long.

We will be back together on the 19th August for a lovely social at the DISH, and we would absolutely love to see some familiar faces and a few new ones too. If you have been thinking about joining us, this is a perfect, relaxed moment to come along, meet everyone, and soak up the warm, friendly atmosphere our choir is known for.

🎶 We are absolutely buzzing after our most recent event! 🎶

What a brilliant day — the atmosphere, the teamwork, the music, the smiles. Our choir family brought such warmth and energy, and we are still glowing from it. Moments like these remind us why singing together feels so special.

And now… we would love to welcome a few new voices to share that feeling with us.
