‼️ BAT WALK POSTPONED 🦇🦇🦇

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to postpone tonight’s bat walk due to the weather conditions.

The combination of rain and light winds means that the conditions are not ideal for bat activity. Bats are less likely to be out feeding in wet weather, and the lack of suitable conditions can make it much more difficult to spot and hear them during the walk 👀👂

We want to make sure that when we run the bat walk, there is the best possible chance of seeing and detecting bats, so unfortunately tonight’s weather means it is better to cancel rather than go ahead with an event that may be disappointing for everyone.

Those who are registered have been contacted and will receive another email soon with a new date which we hope will suit!

🌟 IMPACT REPORT🌟

"It gives you something to look forward to and it gives you educational opportunities, because we always have to keep learning."

"I have met people I was at school with and had not seen for years."

"I wouldn't see some of these people if the breakfast didn't exist."

"The project has been a lifesaver. I have made so many friends, learned new skills and really look forward to coming each week."

"I have been crafting for years, so it is rewarding to help other people learn. The group has also made me build friendships and become involved in much more within the community."

These are just some of the experiences shared by people taking part in our events, workshops and activities supported by our National Lottery funded Connecting Communities project.
