Last Thursday nights talk by our speaker Reamai Mathers was interesting and we were just missing a few farmers from the group as he was taking on the use of clovers though grass. He also told us how to start a meadow and how we have so many box hedgerows in the countryside of little use to wildlife and the suggestion that leaving the hedging even a little higher would help.

Tomorrow nights speaker will be Réamaí Mathers the title is in the picture. Hope to see you there !

Warren hive success

New Mid Antrim beekeeper, Daniel, built his own Warre hive from scratch last year and successfully overwintered. The only issue is the viewing window, let's water in. Lovely to view the wax nevertheless.

Any local Warren hive Beekeepers?
