Weekly update - w/c Monday 8th June.

11 of our BC and B-AF teams have been out this morning and during the past week. 26 bags collected this week.

🟒 Town centre and car park along with areas expanding from it, Green Lane, Tollwood Road and Old Lane.

🟒 RTA debris cleared near Kingstanding.

Weekly update - w/c Monday 1st June.

Seven of our volunteer team have collected a further 17 bags today and during the past week, bringing the total collected this year to date to 600.

🟒 Usual areas in the town and Jarvis Brook, Sybron Way, Farningham Road along with a fair few β€˜hot spots’ that we have learned over the years to regularly check.

🟑🟑🟑 Updated: two others have checked in since posting, three more bags from Hadlow Down Road and Walshes Road.

🟒 Parking areas and some verges, A22 Millbrook to Long. Car parks and some verges, High Road and Crowborough Road.

🟒 Area between the car park and Farningham Road mowed along with weeding verges. Planters have been regularly watered.

Weekly update - w/c Monday 18th May.

Our BC and B-AF volunteers have collected 16 bags this past week.

Brighter Crowborough 🌻

🟒 Usual areas around the town and Jarvis Brook given some TLC. Earlier in the week the rest of Fermor Road and Aldervale along with various β€˜hot spots for rubbish’ cleared.

Brighter Ashdown Forest 🌳

🟒 Some of the car parks done during the week. This morning, very early to beat the heat, half of New Road along with more car parks. 50 wine bottles were cleared from a ditch at St John’s car park mid week while this morning, a mattress with nearby candles discovered at Roman Road car park. How romantic but you could’ve taken it away after!

🟒 Pleased to say we had Laura join us who will help maintain planters and share watering duties for us. We’re still looking to get a small working party together to maintain planters. πŸ™

Weekly update - w/c Monday 4th May.

We’ve had eight of our team out and about today and during the past week. 28 bags collected this week, 17 in and around Crowborough and 11 from Ashdown Forest. So far this year, 525 bags, 369 locally and 156 from the Forest.

Weekly update - w/c Monday 27th April.

Now that everywhere is becoming overgrown, it has become increasingly difficult to retrieve anything hidden. Happens every year, doesn’t stop us but reduces our ability to deep clean areas. This week 7 of our teams have collected 19 bags of litter.

As another week comes and goes, our volunteers have been out and about collecting 27 bags of litter. (Includes 6 bags collected by Baldwin Boxall earlier in the week.)

Yesterday was Earth Day and Baldwin Boxall had asked if we could loan litter pickers to enable their staff to carry out a litter pick. A dozen or so of their staff, went to Walshes Park collecting 6.5 bags of litter. Thank-you. πŸ’š
