Tuberculosis

We already know that there is an isolation unit at Crowborough, and that all migrants who arrived by small boats and placed in our town are tested on arrival but what we didn't know is that 20% of these men are likely to have TB.

Russell Quirk an Essex Councillor recently had a site visit to Wethersfield which operates almost identically to Crowborough and he was given these figures by the Home Office.

Andrew Larter stated that migrants would be 'advised' to isolate but what if they refuse or abscond?

A site on Whitehill Road which Crowborough Town Council had not supported has now been approved by Wealden to expand an HMO.
We are trying to find out more details of who will occupy this accommodation.

Well done to the SAMAS volunteers who facilitate sewing classes in the camp and migrants outings — whether you picked up the litter yourselves or got the migrants to do it, at least it’s an improvement.

But your claim that local people deliberately took litter onto MoD land and scattered it is frankly absurd. Have you any idea how ridiculous that makes you look?

Making false accusations about local residents is a serious matter. If you have evidence, produce it. If not, withdraw the allegation.

Our local NHS resources matter.

Four ambulances have attended Crowborough Camp within just a few days.

At a time when local residents, including elderly and vulnerable people can face lengthy waits for ambulances, this raises legitimate questions about the pressure on already stretched emergency services and the cost to the public purse.

We are asking Clearsprings and the relevant authorities: Why were four ambulances required? What happened, and are there measures in place to reduce avoidable repeat call-outs?

This is about community safety, safeguarding, transparency and ensuring emergency services remain available to everyone who needs them.

Door to door migrant deliveries

This man is supplying clothing to a migrant at the gates of the camp, we wonder what else gets delivered and how this is checked - security claim that only the police can do searches as it's against human rights for routine checks to be carried out.
