Friends of Victoria Park Waterloo Crosby While making a real difference within your local community. People like you, doing extraordinary things, in the heart of the community.

We offer a wide range of simple indoor and outdoor volunteering opportunities, that can develop your skills and talents, help you gain confidence, as you improve your health and well being.

Good morning from Victoria Park.
8 volunteers turned up to our Sunday morning session. Helping to improve different areas of Victoria Park.

We also welcomed many visitors to the pavilion. Sandra on the piano. The atmosphere was great and a good time was had by All.

Thank you all for your continuing help and support.

Our next session will be on Thursday between 10am and 12 noon.

A wet Thursday brought 5 volunteers, one ranger and lots of visitors.

Edging, trimming, litter picking, cleaning the pavilion, meet and greet.

Help us, to help you. Thank you all for using the bins provided. Please take surplus litter home.

This helps us focus on improving the park.

If you feel that we haven't got round to improving areas in the park you feel should be prioritised. There are many opportunities for you to help us by joining our ever growing enthusiastic volunteers, men and women, young and old, working together, making a real difference.

Today's impromptu session brought 2 volunteers, to tidy our wall flowers and water our new plant. Which the friends especially Lindsay, propagate and put in the park for the benefit of the community. So we can all enjoy the spectacle at different times of the year.

Please admire the plants from a distance and hope we have put the right plant, in the right place, at the right time of the session. 😊

Good morning, its Sunday it's nearly time for the friends to gather for our Sunday session.

You are welcome to join us, as a visitor or just to experience volunteering for the first.
Pick up a litter picker and ring and join our family litter pick. Or make tea for our visitors to the pavilion.
Have a look at of gift stalls or use the kiddie corner.

Sit with a coffee and have a chat.
Watch craft making, as we make creations for display and for stalls.

Remember as volunteers we do as much or as little as we can fit in with our daily lives.

Choose a small task off the list, no experience necessary. Earn a cuppa and a biscuit on completion.
