Girlguiding Pitch Hill

Girlguiding Pitch Hill We open up a world of possibilities to girls from 4 to 18 – one where they can do anything. Join us at www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus

We give girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. Girlguiding has four sections:
Rainbows (5 - 7)
Brownies (7 - 10)
Guides (10 - 14)
The Senior Section (14 - 25)

Our team of volunteers looks after our ~170 members. Volunteering with Girlguiding is a great way to have fun, meet new people, gain training and develop new skills.

What a lovely way to highlight the end of volunteer week.

Yesterday, AMY from 3rd Cranleigh Guides attended the Girlguiding Celebration event held in London after gaining her QUEENS GUIDE award.

This is such an amazing achievement and we are all incredibly proud of her.

The event was a fantastic celebration of the incredible Girlguiding volunteers across the UK.

It served as a powerful testament to the impactful work we do in empowering the next generation of young leaders and shaping bright futures.

The hospitality, entertainment, and rewards made us feel incredibly valued for our contributions.
We are proud to be part of an incredible organisation.

WELL DONE AMY ⭐️

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers across the division! We couldn't do it without you. 🌠

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers across the division! We couldn't do it without you. 🌠

This Volunteers’ Week, we are recognising the time, care and commitment our volunteers give to Girlguiding across London and South East England. You create safe, welcoming spaces where girls can be themselves, try new things and grow in confidence. Week after week, you plan, organise and support with patience and kindness. Each role matters and each contribution makes guiding possible. This week, and every week, your impact is felt by young members, fellow volunteers and by communities across the region. Thank you, Girlguiding volunteers! 🩵

Shalford Brownies had a great weekend at Walton Firs. Their theme was Winnie the Pooh. They tackled a maze, high ropes and a blindfold obstacle course, alongside a wide game, crafts, jobs, eating and singing. The Brownies were brilliant and everyone had a great time 😀⭐️

🧳Brownie pack holiday 2026🧳
Brownies from Cranleigh had a wonderful weekend at Herons Wey Campsite - Girlguiding Surrey West
We were so lucky with the weather for our ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ themed weekend.
The girls enjoyed a story trail, crafts from different countries, campfire, grass sledging, and an explorers training expedition in Bourne Wood.
Throughout the weekend, the Brownies also took on responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning and washing up, developing their independence and important life skills along the way.
For many girls, this was their very first time staying away from home without family and the leaders were incredibly proud of how brilliantly they all did.
Residentials are such a special part of Girlguiding – they’re where girls discover just how capable, confident and adventurous they can be. 💙

A massive shout out to all the volunteers involved in planning, preparing and delivering the whole thing. It’s no mean feat, but so worth if for the girls.
