🌟 Volunteer of the Year Nomination 🌟

We are incredibly proud to share that our Commanding Officer, Petty Officer (SCC) Kelly Eustace, has been nominated for FLVC Volunteer of the Year 2026.

Over the past 12 months, Kelly has led the transformation of Connah's Quay Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets, helping to rebuild the unit from the ground up after returning to our home in Connah's Quay.

Under Kelly's leadership, the unit has:
⚓ Achieved its highest inspection score in over 10 years
⚓ Grown significantly in cadet numbers and opportunities
⚓ Expanded training, qualifications and Duke of Edinburgh's Award provision
⚓ Increased community engagement and fundraising activities
⚓ Developed a dedicated and motivated volunteer team
⚓ Created new opportunities for young people across Connah's Quay and the surrounding area.

This nomination recognises the countless hours of voluntary service, dedication, and determination that Kelly has invested in ensuring local young people have access to life-changing experiences and opportunities.

Congratulations, Kelly – the entire unit is incredibly proud of you and grateful for everything you do for our cadets, volunteers and community.
