During Carers week last week, Carers Trust North Wales delivered over 1000 respite hours for unpaid carers across the counties, to enable carers to attend activities that improve their wellbeing

I spent a great few hours yesterday at Anglesey County Coucil, speaking to staff and unpaid carers as part of Carers Wellbeing Week.🦋

This week is Carers week 🙏

At Carers Trust North Wales, we are passionate about supporting unpaid carers.

We support people across all North Wales counties and our services range from supporting loved ones at home and in the community whilst carers get a break, to our running our centres where we support Carers and their loved ones alongside each other.
An unpaid carer can be someone of any age, and we know that the responsibility of caring for someone can be heavy, so having a break and time to go to an appointment, meet with a friend, give other members of the family the attention they need, just to go and have an uninterrupted shower or whatever is needed is so important.

Patience, kindness, compassion, empathy and a big smile..
These are just some of the fantastic skills our volunteers have, and some of the most important, when working with people with dementia and their Carers.
Our volunteers, seen here in our Denbigh Centre, and those in all our centres, play a vital role in delivering such an important service in North Wales 🙌💐

There were double celebrations today at the Conwy Centre, Volunteers week and Nerys our Volunteer, celebrating her 70th birthday with us all! Lots of smiles and laughter shared by everyone ☺️
