Colne Citadel Our main charitable aim is to reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing by free or low cost interventions.

We are a charity operating in a community centre in Market Place in Colne Town Centre. We aim to improve the lives of local residents by reducing social isolation in a safe, caring environment. We are pleased that the building continues to serve the people of Colne. We’ve had a fantastic response for our new art sessions 🎨🖌️

we have 6spaces left if you would like to book onto our 6 week course for only £10 🙌🏻

Starting 1 week today on the 7th September 11am until 1pm with coffee and cake included 🧁☕️ payment is needed to secure you’re space as these are limited this can be paid by bank transfer or in person.

Today we want to say a huge thank you to Jolene for everything she has given to the Citadel over the last 3½ years.

Jolene has been such an important part of our team, bringing her time, energy, kindness and dedication to everything she has been involved in. Over the years, she has made a real difference to the people we support and has become a valued part of the Citadel family.

It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we are incredibly grateful for all the memories, hard work and laughter along the way. 🥰

Jolene, thank you for the last 3½ years. We will miss you and wish you every happiness and success for the future. 💕

🧥 NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GET WET 🌧️

Over the last few school runs, we’ve noticed adults and children out in the rain without a coat.

We don’t know anyone’s circumstances, and we would never want to judge or make assumptions. ❤️ Sometimes things are simply difficult, and a warm, waterproof coat might be something a family has had to go without.

But one thing we do know is that nobody should have to get soaked in this weather.

So, Colne Citadel is going to become a designated Coat Drop-Off Point. 🧥💙

If you have any good-quality, clean, unwanted coats sitting in your wardrobe that you no longer need, please consider donating them to us.

❤️ We will distribute them locally to people and families who need them.

You never know — that coat taking up space in your cupboard could make a huge difference to someone else this winter.

We all bid farewell to Jolene who leaves us to pastures new this week. So come join in the fun, say goodbye and let's start the bank holiday week properly.

We’re having our second August party on Friday 28th August to kick off the Rhythm & Blues weekend 🎶🎸

We’d love to welcome any buskers and local musicians who fancy coming along and entertaining us in the gardens during the event. 🎤🎵

We’ll also be celebrating Jolene as she leaves her role at the Citadel to take a new direction. 💐❤️ We’d love for everyone to come along, enjoy the music, have some fun and wish her well in her next adventure!

A HUGE thank you to our 9 incredible skydivers who took the leap today! ❤️

Today marked the start of a brand-new Colne Citadel tradition — and we’re already planning to do it all again next year! 🪂🙌

We honestly couldn’t be prouder of our amazing skydivers. Thank you for your courage, your determination and for raising money to support the work we do in our local community. ❤️
