Volunteering here at Trawden Forest Community Centre, Library & Shop isn't all work and no play! We have get-togethers outside of volunteering where we can enjoy each others company and get to know one another better.

In the UK, long-term loneliness carries health risks equal to smoking 15 ci******es a day, and it increases the risk of early death by 26%.

We are a welcoming bunch so if you want to get involved please speak to our Volunteer Coordinator, Molly on 07563349362 or email [email protected] for more information on volunteering here 🥰

We’ve made and sold 100 of these kits and sadly that’s it until next year. Thank you to everyone who has bought one and made a cake 😊 and also a massive thanks to our army of volunteers who worked many hours to put the kits together 🤩

If you didn’t manage to buy a kit but would like to make a cake for Christmas, we have all the ingredients in the filling station for you to weigh out yourself. If you’d like a copy of the recipe we used, please ask us or search online for Delia Smith Classic Christmas Cake.

If you have your own festive recipes, the shop is fully stocked with all kinds of ingredients. Bring your own containers and buy exactly what you need from the filling station.

As always, if you need any help in the filling station please ask one of our brilliant volunteers.

Thank you to Michael, one of our brilliant volunteers, for this magnificent pumpkin carving 🎃 The pumpkin was donated to the shop from the church after their harvest festival.
