We owe such a debt of gratitude to former MP Tony Worthington, who campaigned tirelessly for asbestos victims here in Clydebank and throughout the UK. Our thoughts are with Tony's wife Angela and the rest of the family at this sad time.

On Friday we marked International Worker's Memorial Day with an event at the International Asbestos Memorial in Clydebank. Read our reflections on the day below:

We marked IWMD last Friday, the 24th of April. A large crowd gathered at the International Asbestos Memorial in Truth and Justice Square where we heard tributes, laid wreaths and held a minute of silence to remember those who have lost their lives due to asbestos.

"Remember the dead, fight for the living"
Today is International Workers' Memorial Day, where we remember those who have been killed, injured or made ill because of their work. We marked the occasion on Friday with an event at Truth and Justice Square dedicated to the late David Colraine, who fought tirelessly for the victims of asbestos.
