🎨 More than just pottery… ❤️

Over the past six weeks, the wonderful Pottery By Sally Vivien has been running a pottery course for some of the residents at Andrew House, and what a fantastic opportunity it has been! 🏡

Sometimes, it's the simplest activities that can make the biggest difference.

Working with clay isn't just about creating something beautiful. It's about slowing down, finding a moment of calm, learning new skills, building confidence and discovering what you're capable of.

For the men at Andrew House, opportunities like this are an important part of their journey. Recovery isn't just about overcoming challenges; it's also about rediscovering interests, building connections and finding enjoyment in everyday life.

❤️ A huge thank you to Sally for giving her time, sharing her skills and creating such a welcoming, encouraging space for our residents.

And to the men who took part, we hope you're incredibly proud of what you've achieved!

At Changing Lives, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, discover new possibilities and create something meaningful.

Because sometimes, when you put your hands to work, you give your mind a little space to breathe. 💚

❤️ YOU MAY NEVER KNOW THE DIFFERENCE YOU MADE.

Sometimes, the most important things we do in life are the things we never get to see the results of.

The conversation that gave someone the courage to carry on.

The kindness that reminded someone they mattered.

The helping hand that arrived just when someone was beginning to lose hope.

The simple act of treating someone with dignity when life had made them feel invisible.

We may never know what happened next.

We may never hear their story, see their recovery, or witness the moment their life began to change.

But God sees what we don't. ❤️

At Changing Lives, we are reminded that making a difference isn't always about grand gestures or remarkable transformations.

Sometimes it's about being present. Listening without judgement. Offering compassion without conditions. And believing in someone's worth, even when they are struggling to see it themselves.

Jesus taught us that even the smallest act of kindness matters.

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." — Matthew 25:40

As we enter another week, perhaps we can all ask ourselves one simple question:

What if the smallest thing I do today becomes the biggest thing in someone else's life?

You don't need to change the whole world to make a difference.

Sometimes, changing one person's world is more than enough.

🙏 Sunday Reflection | God is at work, even when we cannot see the whole picture.

What a week it has been at Changing Lives Charity!

We've shared exciting developments, celebrated creativity, witnessed generosity and seen people coming together to make a difference.

But today, as we slow down, we want to reflect on something deeper.

Not all progress is visible. Not every answered prayer arrives in the way or at the time we expect. And not every life being changed has a story ready to be told.

Sometimes, the greatest changes happen quietly.

In someone finding the courage to ask for help.

In someone choosing to try again after a difficult day.

In a person beginning to believe that their past does not have to define their future.

Or in a door opening after months of uncertainty.

At Changing Lives, our Christian faith reminds us that hope is not simply about everything going right. It's about believing that even through challenges, setbacks and waiting, there is still a future worth working towards.

📖 "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" — Isaiah 43:19

As we enter another week, perhaps this message is for someone reading today.

If life feels uncertain, if progress seems slow, or if you're struggling to see a way forward, please don't lose hope.

You don't need to have everything figured out today.

Sometimes, the smallest step forward is the beginning of something extraordinary.
